About Suvereto wild boar festival
The Sagra del Cinghiale, the wild boar festival, has been held in Suvereto since 1968 and now falls on the weekends around 8 December: in the village you eat wild boar cooked every way, with the new olive oil and wine from Val di Cornia producers.
Suvereto is one of the Borghi più belli d'Italia, the club of Italy's most beautiful villages, and a good excuse to come to the sea out of season: in winter the coast is empty and you have the walks to yourselves.
