Getting here
Getting to San Vincenzo, the last stretch is the Aurelia
Wherever you come from, by car the last part is the SS1 Aurelia: you take the San Vincenzo exit and you are in town. The address for the satnav is Via del Castelluccio 74.
By car
Approximate times without traffic. In summer, on the Saturdays when the weekly rentals change over, the Aurelia slows down: allow a little more.
- From the north (Genoa, La Spezia)
- A12 motorway to Rosignano, then the Aurelia towards Grosseto, exit San Vincenzo Nord
- From Florence
- Florence–Pisa–Livorno dual carriageway, then the Aurelia south to San Vincenzo. About 2 hours
- From Pisa
- The Aurelia south, exit San Vincenzo Nord. About 1 hour
- From Rome
- The Aurelia north via Grosseto, exit San Vincenzo Sud. About 3 hours
- From Milan
- A1 to Parma, A15 towards La Spezia, then the A12 and the Aurelia. About 4 and a half hours
- From Germany, Austria and Switzerland
- Enter Italy over the Brenner or the Gotthard, then head for Genoa or Florence, with the last stretch on the Aurelia
By train or plane
San Vincenzo has its own station on the Tyrrhenian line between Pisa and Rome, served by regional trains. From the station to the flats it is about 1 km on foot.
The handiest airport is Pisa: from the airport the Pisa Mover takes you to Pisa Centrale, and from there a regional train to San Vincenzo; or you hire a car and drive down the Aurelia in about an hour. Florence is further away, about two hours by car.

If you are going to Elba
Ferries to Elba leave from Piombino, south of San Vincenzo along the coast. The crossing to Portoferraio takes about an hour: it is best to book ahead, especially in August. From us to the port it is 27 km, about 35 minutes by car.
Once you are in town
Via del Castelluccio is in San Vincenzo itself. If the satnav sends you round in circles, call us: we will guide you in over the phone.
